Andrew Thiele (b. 1980, New Jersey,) is a contemporary painter living and working in New York City. Thiele entered the visual arts community 10 years ago as the founder of Artek, a creative agency based in midtown Manhattan. More recently, Thiele is recognized among the art world for his paintings that redefine popular culture. His paintings lead an audience through a poignant, nostalgic lens of both modern and historical New York. Thiele’s artistic technique blends mixed media with found objects, experimenting with texture, depth and collage. His signature work consists of recognizable imagery from city life and heavily layered impasto effects. Thiele participated in Scope Art Fair 2016 where he debuted his work. He also held his first solo show, “Used & Abused” in March 2016 with One Art Space in TriBeCa, New York.
